One might say that it was Rob's destiny to be in real estate. Both of his grandfathers, Damiano Sassi and Russel Piazza as well as his Uncle Bob were licensed realtors with Damiano owning Sassi Real Estate on Fayette Street in Conshohocken. Both of his parents, Don and Peggy Sassi were licensed realtors, owning Lafayette Realty Services along with Lafayette Lending Group in Lafayette Hill for more than 30 years. Rob was instilled with a passion for real estate and learned the importance of customer service at a young age. During his senior year at Archbishop Kennedy High School in Conshohocken, Rob took night classes to earn his pre-licensing credits. In August of 1988, just two months after graduation from high school, Rob became the youngest realtor in the family at age 18. Rob then went on to become a Real Estate Broker at age 32 and took the reins of Lafayette Realty Services, changing the name back to Sassi Real Estate to honor his Grandfather Damiano.  At age 34, Rob became the 18th person in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be designated a Certified Mortgage Banker by the National Mortgage Bankers Association in Washington, D.C.

 Rob has lived in the area he so loves and serves for his entire life. He has served his community as a member of the Zoning Hearing Board in Plymouth Township and also served on the Norristown Planning Commission. Rob was also elected to serve as Constable in Plymouth Township and became the first Constable to serve on the Montgomery County Domestic Violence Legal Network. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and two Master's Degrees in Education. He has also earned 36 Juris Doctor credits and excelled in Contract Law class.
